Quebec is renowned for its vibrant culture, dynamic communities, and openness to immigrants, making it one of Canada’s most desirable provinces. While French is the predominant language, knowledge of it is not a strict requirement for migration; however, it can enhance your experience and opportunities in the province.
The Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) aims to attract highly skilled and educated individuals (18 years and older) seeking to establish their lives and careers in Quebec permanently. For the 2022-23 program year, the province plans to welcome up to 24,200 skilled foreign workers.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates for the QSWP are assessed through a comprehensive point-based system that evaluates nine key factors indicative of their potential for economic success in Quebec. The maximum achievable score is 1,320 points, divided as follows:
Human Capital Factors (up to 580 points):
- French language proficiency (up to 80 points)
- Combined French and English language skills (up to 80 points)
- Age (up to 110 points)
- Education level (up to 90 points for solo applicants, up to 80 points with an accompanying partner)

- Area of training (up to 60 points)
- Education completed in Quebec (up to 50 points for solo applicants, up to 60 points with an accompanying partner)
